Upon your arrival Kigali and upon completion of the formalities, you will be greeted by our local guide, If time permits, take a tour of the city of Kigali, including the Genocide memorial, the market and handicraft shops.

After breakfast, drive to Ruhengeri (the gorilla sanctuary) in the north. The National Park of Volcanoes (Parc National des Volcans) is a paradise for mountain gorillas and houses five of the eight rainforest and bamboo-covered volcanoes of the Virunga Mountains (Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga and Sabyinyo). You will relax and visit in the late afternoon You the tomb of dr. Dian Fossey. One of the world's leading scientists dedicated to protecting and researching mountain gorillas in Africa.

After an early breakfast, sign up at the briefing point and then be led by experienced trackers on Gorilla trekking expeditions through the forest. During your walk, you will discover other primates such as Golden Monkeys and a variety of animals, including buffalo, bush duck and a variety of bird species. Gorilla trekking is a strenuous activity and can take anywhere from one to eight hours, depending on where the gorillas are. Therefore, a reasonable level of fitness is required. Once you have found the gorillas, you will watch them feeding, playing, resting and raising their cubs. Of course you can also take pictures of them. After this great experience, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast drive to Lake Kivu. This is the largest lake in Rwanda and is beautifully set amid many trails and steep, green, terraced hills. Kivu Lake with its beaches is ideal for swimming, boating and sunbathing. Upon arrival, you will take a morning boat ride on the lake and bird lovers can expect birds such as pelicans, majestic crown cranes, malachite kingfisher and many more. You also have the opportunity to see a variety of aquatic animals such as hippos. The shores of Kivu Lake are surrounded by three spas, namely Gisenyi, Kibuye and Cyangug [Lake Kivu Resorts]. After lunch, you will explore these three colorful seaside towns and engage in various activities, including speedboats, canoe sailing and mountain hiking. Then return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Akagera NP, where you will arrive in the afternoon. In the evening you have the option to go on a search for big storks like shoebill, cormorants, herons, African fish and much more.

An early game drive in search of the Savanah birds also gives you the chance to see wildlife such as leopards, giraffes, antelopes, gazelles and bushbucks. The dense forest and vegetation also create beautiful landscapes. In the late afternoon you will return to Ihema Lake for a boat trip on the lake where you will see many waterfowl and, with a bit of luck, the largest Nile crocodile.

After the early start you drive to Nyungwe NP. En route, visit the Royal Palace and the National Museum, one of the most culturally rich in Africa. Lunch in Butare and drive to Nyungwe. In the evening you can take a walk in the woods.

Get up early today and have breakfast at 6:00. then start chimps tracking (with packed lunch). Other discovered primates include Ruwenzori Colobus, L'Hoest's monkey, Silver monkey, Golden monkey, Owl-faced monkey, Red-tailed monkey, Den't mona monkey, Vervet monkey, Olive baboon, Gray-cheeked mangabey and three species from Bushbaby and more. The hike can take a whole day, and yet some people feel that they need more than a day in the forest to see all kinds of primates. After a satisfying trekking and Nyungwe Forest experience, return to the hotel for a rest and the rest of the day.

After breakfast, walk to the waterfall for a chance to see one of the albertine endemic species, the Rwenzori Turaco. In the afternoon you will be able to see the colobus monkeys.
