Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport in Uganda and after completing formalities, you will be greeted by our local guide who will then take you to the hotel. If you arrive in the morning, you will be greeted with afternoon bird watching in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens. Shy after the brown throated waver, golden backed weaver, yellow backed weaver, gray headed gull, long tailed cormorant, common squacco heron, yellow billed duck, pied kingfisher, giant kingfisher, swamp flycatcher, broad billed scooter, black and white casqued hornbill , splendid glossy starling, black headed gonolek, orange weaver, red chested sunbird, slender beaten weaver, Ross's turaco, pied hornbill, crowned hornbill, open billed stork, great red warbler, sedge warbler, gray caped warbler and many more species.

Early bird watching on the Lincoln Trail. This has over 170 species recorded so far. Interested birdwatchers can gather more than 110 species in one day. So far, the local bird guides have recommended this route as the best place near Kampala. Look for the white-headed barbet, red headed lovebird, double toothed barbet, brown twin spot, tambourine dove, black-headed bush shrike, scaly francolin , tropical boubouund and other different species.

Today you will visit the Mabamba swamps, where most bird watching is done by canoe, while watching for the rare beak-billed, African Water Rail, Allen and Purple Gallinule, Squacco, Goliath, Purple, Gray Heron Egrets and Ducks.

After an early breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stop for lunch in Mbarara. In QENP more than 640 bird species were registered. Interested birdwatchers could observe between 300 out of 604 species in the park. The main species include pelicans, skimmers, kingfishers, thick-knees, storks, martins, swallows, weavers, raptors, canaries, kites, and a few others.

After an early cup of tea or coffee, there is another bird safari in the extensive park, where elephant herds, antelopes, buffaloes and much more are. Return to the lodge for a rich breakfast and free time. After lunch, take a boat trip on the famous Kazinga Channel, where you will see large herds of hippos, buffalos and a variety of beautiful waterbird species such as Jacanas, Ospreys and Pelicans. And you will also be able to watch the dreaded crocodiles sunbathe.

After an early breakfast, you will have another bird safari, then drive to Lake Mburo National Park. The national park offers a variety of wildlife, including zebra, eland and impala, which are not found in most other national parks in Uganda. In addition, Lake Mburo has a large number of waterbuck, topi, buffalo, hippo, duiker, bushbuck, klipspringer and if you are lucky you will see oribi, leopards and crocodiles. Of course, even the smallest national park has a variety of different types of birds.

You will get up early and take a nature walk. Then return to your accommodation for a hearty breakfast. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the lake. You will be able to see many birds there.

After breakfast we head back to Entebbe. Enjoy the green along the route and the famous Ankole-Langhorn cattle. Stop at the equator to take a picture. You have the chance to be in the southern and northern hemispheres at the same time. Buy some souvenirs or enjoy a snack in one of the restaurants.
