After breakfast, you will start the highlight of your trip, gorilla tracking. Your tour will be a very special, exciting journey - along the wooded slopes, through tangled vines, past bushes and bamboo plants, before you finally see the gorillas. On the tour, your ranger will show you traces of previous activities of the gorillas, such as droppings, nests and nibbled bamboo shoots. You will learn a lot of interesting facts about the Ugandan giants and if things get slippery, a ranger will be happy to lend you his hand. It is an emotional, moving and very impressive experience to come face to face with a gorilla. Continue to the Ishasha Sector

Sport fishing in Murchison Falls National Park is generally done in the area around the bottom of the falls. Fishing is done either from the rocks on the banks of the river or from a boat in the pools a little further downstream. While fishing you will be able to see elephants, buffalo, hippos, monkeys, crocodiles and many birds.

Fish caught on live bait / casting lures include Nile perch and various species of cat fish. There are also a large variety of smaller species, (used as live bait), obtained by spinning (this is part of the day’s fishing experience and not pre-arranged), including tiger fish. We recommend a rod between 11feet (3 metres) and 8 feet (2.4 metres) together with a fixed spool or multiplier reel. For the smaller species a 7’ spinning rod with 5 kg (10 lb) line is adequate.
Reels – For Nile perch and catfish any reel fixed spool or multiplier with 30-35 lb line(17kg) will do. It depends on personal preference and skill with a multiplier. For tiger fish and smaller species any reel you can comfortably cast small spinners is suitable.
